Potting Shed

Some buildings deserve a second chance.

Hidden away amongst the woodland, this beautiful old potting shed had stood abandoned for many years. Slowly reclaimed by nature and showing the effects of time, it had become a forgotten part of the estate’s history. Today, we’re proud to say its restoration is complete.

This project has been about far more than repairing a building. It has been about respecting its heritage, preserving its character and ensuring it can be enjoyed for generations to come.

A Careful Conservation Project

From the very beginning, our approach was to retain as much of the original structure and character as possible. Every decision was made with the building’s history in mind, combining traditional craftsmanship with carefully selected materials to restore rather than replace.

Years of neglect had taken their toll, but beneath the overgrowth was a remarkable building waiting to be brought back to life.

Working sympathetically throughout the restoration, our team repaired, rebuilt and revitalised the structure while preserving the features that make it so unique.

Restoring a Piece of History

Historic buildings tell a story, and every conservation project is an opportunity to protect that story.

The completed restoration has transformed what was once an overgrown and abandoned estate building into a beautiful, functional space once again. The character of the original potting shed has been retained while ensuring the building is structurally sound and ready for its next chapter.

Projects like this require patience, attention to detail and a genuine respect for traditional construction methods—qualities that sit at the heart of everything we do.

The Finished Result

Seeing the finished building is incredibly rewarding.

What was once almost hidden by woodland has been carefully restored into a feature that complements its surroundings and celebrates the estate’s heritage. It’s a transformation we’re immensely proud of and one that demonstrates what can be achieved through skilled conservation and quality craftsmanship.
